Easter

As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we recognize Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer. At Easter time (which includes Palm Sunday), we commemorate the final days of Christ’s life, His suffering in Gethsemane for the sins of the world, His death and crucifixion, and His miraculous resurrection.

Latter-day Saint doctrine places the emphasis on Jesus Christ’s Atonement and Resurrection, which broke the bonds of death and prepared the way for all of us to be resurrected and return to live with God. We celebrate Easter because of our hope, borne of Christ, that death is not final; we will all be resurrected. Our bodies and spirits will be reunited, never to be divided again. Jesus Christ is our Savior, Redeemer, and Passover Lamb.

Many faithful men and women speaking at BYU have borne testimony of Jesus Christ, the reality of His infinite Atonement, and the promise of resurrection.
