William H. Baker began his teaching career at BYU in 1970. He was a professor of management communication in the Marriott School of Management, where he taught graduate and undergraduate management-communication classes. He also served as a department chair in the Marriott School.
Professor Baker’s degrees are from Southern Utah University, where he served as student body president and LDSSA president; BYU; and Oklahoma State University. He spent time as a personnel specialist in the Utah Army National Guard and also held the position of senior analyst at the home office of Kemper Insurance Companies in Chicago. He has coauthored several textbooks, published numerous professional articles, and provided training for government and business organizations.
Brother Baker served as a full-time missionary in western Canada, served several times as a Young Men president and bishop’s counselor, and has fulfilled callings as a bishop, MTC branch president, and high councilor. In addition to family, he enjoys gardening, music, cycling, and life in general.
