Rebecca Schroeder is the acquisitions librarian and department chair of the Material Acquisitions Department in the Harold B. Lee Library. She holds a bachelor of fine arts in piano performance from Lock Haven University, a master of arts in music theory and history from Pennsylvania State University, and a master of library science from the University of North Texas.
She came to BYU in 2000, working first in various library acquisitions positions, before becoming a faculty member in 2006. Her research primarily focuses on electronic books and emerging library acquisitions models.
Rebecca grew up in Colonia Dublán, Chihuahua, Mexico. She has also lived in Alabama, Arizona, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and now Utah. She has five children and 15 grand children and currently serves as the ward organist and Primary pianist in her ward.
