R. Bruce Money

Bruce Money is the Fred Meyer Professor of Marketing and International Business as well as director of the Kay and Yvonne Whitmore Global Management Center at the Marriott School, having served previously as chair of the Business Management Department. He teaches courses in international management and global business negotiations in the MBA and Executive MBA programs and has directed 10 short-term BYU study abroad programs. He holds a PhD in marketing from the University of California, Irvine, an MBA from the Harvard Business School, and a BA in English from BYU.

Prior to his academic career, Dr. Money gained eight years of professional experience in the marketing of financial services. He served a mission in Japan and minored in Japanese at BYU, which complemented his eventual position as vice president of what is now Sumitomo-Mitsui Bank, one of the world’s largest financial institutions.

He has taught in more than 50 executive education programs for global companies such as Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Bosch Corporation, and Nissan’s Tokyo headquarters. He has also served nine years on the international business faculty of the University of South Carolina and has been a visiting professor at business schools in Austria, Singapore, and Greece.

Brother Money currently serves as high priest group leader in his Provo ward. He and his wife, Kimberly, are the parents of seven children and have four grandchildren.
