Lane Fischer is a graduate of Brigham Young University. He completed his doctoral studies at the University of Minnesota in educational psychology. He practiced as a licensed psychologist specializing in child and adolescent psychotherapy.
Dr. Fischer joined the faculty of BYU in 1993. He is an associate professor of counseling psychology and special education. His research has focused on the assessment of adolescent psychopathology and the integration of spirituality in psychotherapy.
In May of 2002 Dr. Fischer was appointed to serve as dean of students. He is married to Rebecca Fischer.
