K. Brett Nattress was sustained as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 2, 2016. Before serving in his current role at Church headquarters, he served for five years in the Pacific Area Presidency. His numerous Church callings include full-time missionary, ward Young Men president, bishop, stake Young Men president, stake president, Area Seventy, and mission president of the Arizona Gilbert Mission.
Elder Nattress was born on March 4, 1965, in Pocatello, Idaho, to David Nattress and Judy Sorensen. He grew up on a small family farm in Lehi, Utah. During his senior year of high school, he met Shawna Lee Adamson, who attended a neighboring high school. They married in the Salt Lake Temple on April 24, 1987, after his full-time mission in the California Sacramento Mission. They are the parents of seven children.
After attending Brigham Young University, he earned a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Utah in 1990. Alongside his brother, Nattress co-founded and presided over the Advanced Health Care Corporation, a health-care administration company.
