Julie Bangerter Beck has served in all the auxiliaries of the Church and also in Scouting. She served on the Young Women General Board and as first counselor in the Young Women general presidency. Julie B. Beck served as the Relief Society general president from 2007-2012.
She learned to speak Portuguese as a child when she lived in Brazil with her parents and siblingswhile her father served as mission president.
She is a graduate of Dixie College and Brigham Young University.
Sister Beck was a full-time homemaker prior to her service in the Young Women general presidency. She and her husband, Ramon, are the parents of three children.
