Bishop Gérald Caussé is the Presiding Bishop of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was called to fill this position in 2015 when Elder Gary E. Stevenson became a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. Bishop Caussé had previously served as a General Authority Seventy and as First Counselor in the Presiding Bishopric.
Bishop Caussé was born in Bordeaux, France, in 1963. He received his master’s degree in business from ESSEC Business School in 1987 and began a career in the food industry. He worked with a number of grocery store chains and food distribution services and was general manager of Pomona before he entered fulltime Church service.
Bishop Caussé and his wife, Valérie Lucienne Babin, are the parents of five children.
